Last year, we gave most of our funds to Open Door of Freehold and held a large food drive due to Covid.

Here’s how your support impacted our community:

  • We support DBSA of Neptune

  • Girl Scouts of Jersey Shore - $1,500

  • Monmouth Council of Boy Scouts - $1,500

  • Ladacin Network - $25,450

  • Local Families - $30,000

  • Huntington’s Society - $16,000

  • First Tee - $7,500

Joey

We heard about a young boy named Joey, who, as a result of a traumatic brain injury became permanently wheelchair-bound and lost the ability to control his body. His parents lost any guardianship or visitation and he was cared for by the State. Luckily, he was blessed with the loving, amazing Graves family. The Graves family fell in love with Joey, and after several years of visiting him and bringing him home for events and holidays, they pursued adoption. The Graves are retired and live on a fixed income and were unable to afford the handicapped van they needed to comply with the adoption requirement that they owned the van.

Along with the Graeme Preston Foundation for Life and The Charitable Fund of Lomurro, Davison, Eastmon & Munoz, we acquired and donated a handicap-accessible van for Joey and the Graves family. The adoption was final in 2018.

The Ken Cup is indeed a time to have fun and relax with friends and family, but it’s also an opportunity to do life-changing work for real people in need. Joey reminds us why we do what we do.

Thank you for helping make stories like this a reality!

The Ken Cup 2018

Last year’s Ken Cup was a great success. It was so great to see all of you, and we’re so thankful for your contributions.

After the 9th Annual Ken Cup, we donated almost $20,000 in total to the following causes:

  • The First Tee of Monmouth

  • Camp Quality NJ

  • LADACIN Network

  • The Huntington Society

  • Masterpiece Hope Foundation

  • Handicapped Van for Joey

Let’s make this year’s Ken Cup even better.

Love,

The Kennedy E. Kowalski Charitable Foundation

The First Tee of Monmouth and Ocean

We made a donation to The First Tee of Monmouth and Ocean for their YMCA outreach program.

Dear Craig and Joy,
On behalf of The First Tee of Monmouth and Ocean, I would like to thank you for the donation of $1,550 received on November 28, 2016 to support our Freehold Boro YMCA outreach program at Battleground Country Club for Fall 2016 and Spring 2017.
The mission of The First Tee is to impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs and that teach core values and positive life-skills via the game of golf. This generous donation has a direct and powerful impact on the kids in the Freehold Boro Y program – we are all looking forward to Spring of 2017 thanks to your support.
We are so very grateful to the Kennedy E. Kowalski Charitable Foundation and welcome you to The First Tee family!
Warmest regards,
Tara B. Kelly
